Our teachers know their students and work with them to help them realise their potential as learners. Our focus on authentic learning and authentic assessment ensures that we challenge our students to grow in their learning and achieve their personal best.

Throughout our community of Sydney Catholic schools, we have shown high performance of our students in measures such as NAPLAN and the HSC.

At St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Meadowbank individual learning growth targets are set for each child every year. To help our students achieve these targets, teachers are required to know every child’s strengths and areas for development. By closely attending to these individual areas, we help every child achieve excellent learning growth each year. This approach has significantly impacted on the school’s NAPLAN results which have been excellent for a number of years. Our school’s average scores in all assessment areas have consistently been well above the state and national averages and regularly above those of schools which would be considered demographically similar to ours.
