We offer an array of co-curricular activities, lunchtime clubs and opportunities for students to participate in local and regional sporting, art and performance events.  These are some of the activities students can get involved in:

Band

At St Michael’s we have our very own band which consists of students from Years 2-6. The students play a variety of instruments such as drums, percussion and brass. These students also make St Michael’s proud when they compete in various eisteddfods and competitions against other schools.

Choir

Our school choir consists of students from Years 2-6 who learn a variety of songs as a group during the year. The students have the opportunity to perform these pieces at school assemblies, competitions and special events.

Lunchtime Clubs

At St Michael’s we offer a range of lunchtime clubs to enable all students a positive lunch time experience. These clubs can vary each term as the teachers have different skills and interests. Some of the clubs we have had are: Lego, Harry Potter, gardening, Karaoke and dancing.

Dance Showgroup

We are now introducing a Dance Showgroup for both Infants and Primary. These groups will have weekly lessons at lunchtime taught by Raw Energy Dance. They will have the opportunity to perform their dances at Eisteddfods, assemblies and whole school events throughout the year.

After School Activities

St Michael’s also offer a range of after school activities. In 2023 these activities include Young Engineers and Chess Club.  Both are run by organisations who specialise in these areas.

Sport

Children have weekly sport lessons with our specialist sport teacher. They also have lessons in dance, gymnastics and skipping led by the Dance Fever company. There are a variety of gala days and interschool sporting events held throughout the year for sports such as soccer, Oz Tag, touch football and netball. The children also participate in a two week swimming program each year.
